Will CMG/CCTV be confirmed as a 2026 World Cup broadcaster by June 10?

This market will resolve to "YES" if China Media Group (CMG) or China Central Television (CCTV) is officially confirmed as a media partner, broadcaster, or media rights licensee for Mainland China for the 2026 FIFA World Cup by June 10, 2026, 23:59 UTC. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "NO."

For the purposes of this market, entries listed as “China Media Group,” “CMG,” “China Central Television,” or “CCTV” will count.

The primary resolution source for this market is the official FIFA TV page: https://inside.fifa.com/tournament-organisation/commercial/fifa-tv

Resolution will use the “FIFA World Cup 2026™ Media Rights Licensees” PDF available for download in the “FIFA’s Media Rights Licensees” section of that page. The relevant entry must appear in the Asia section of the PDF under the territory for Mainland China, China, or People’s Republic of China. The “Last Modified” date shown in the FIFA PDF will be used to determine whether the relevant listing was published by the market deadline.

For the purposes of this market, rights granted only for Hong Kong, Macao, Chinese Taipei, or any territory other than Mainland China will not count.

If the FIFA source is unavailable, not updated, or unclear at the time of resolution, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
