Will Kalshi admit their perps volume is fake in 2026?

Resolution is made by this market's creator. Their rules below are the contract.

This market resolves Yes if, by December 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM UTC, Kalshi or an authorized Kalshi representative publicly acknowledges that its reported perps volume was materially fabricated, artificially inflated, or otherwise materially overstated relative to genuine trading activity. Qualifying sources include official Kalshi statements, statements from founders/executives, regulatory or court filings, or direct quotes reported by reputable outlets such as Reuters, Bloomberg, WSJ, FT, or CNBC. The statement does not need to use the words “fake volume.” Admissions of material wash trading, self-trading, fabricated trades, artificial volume generation, or reporting errors that materially overstated volume qualify. Edge cases: Regulator or journalist alleges fake volume, but Kalshi does not admit it: No Kalshi admits isolated or immaterial wash trading: No Kalshi admits material artificial volume or materially overstated reporting: Yes Kalshi simply revises volume figures downward without explaining why: No Incentivized trading alone does not qualify Anonymous leaks or former employees alone do not qualify unless officially confirmed If no qualifying acknowledgment occurs before the deadline, the market resolves No.
